Elytra,Tokyo,35(2):490,November3,2007 NewRecordofCeruchussinensls(Coleoptera,Lucanidae) from Western Yunnan,Southwest China Yuki IMURA Shinohara-cho1249-8,Kohoku-ku,Yokohama,222-0026Japan CeruchusslnenslswasoriginallydescribedbyNAGEL(1933)basedonasinglemalespecjmen from“NrMtFrancisGardner,W.ofMekong”whichmeansmostprobablyMt.Taizuxueshan oritsnearbyregionsonthebordersbetweenthenorthwesternendofYunnanprovjnceandthe southeasternendofXizangZizhiquinSouthwestChina. Itwaslaterrecordedadditionallyfrom “Hpemaw,”eastofMyitkyina(ARAYA,2002)andChuduRazi,northeastofKachin(0KUDA, 2007)ofnorthernMyanmar,andyetitisdoubtlesslyoneoftheleastknownspeciesofthegenus CeruchusdistributedinsoutheasternEurasia. ThroughthecourtesyofMessrs.IgorBELousov andIlyaKABAK,Irecentlyhadanopportunitytoexaminetwomalespecimensreferabletothjs speciescollectedfromnorthernBaoshanofwesternYunnanasrecordedbelow. Specimensexamined. 2 (15.7-18.8mminlengthincludingmandibles),N.Baoshan[保 山] (25°29'38″N/99°04'5〃1E),3,370m,westernYunnan,SouthwestChina,9-V-2006,pre_ servedin thecollection of Y. IMURA. TheBaoshanspecimensagreewellwiththetypespecimenofC.sinenslslsshownbyARAYA (2002)inboththeexternalandgenitalicfeatures.Aswasexpectedbythesameauthor,thespecies seemstoberatherwidelydistributedonandaroundtheGaoligongShanMountainsstretchjng fromnorthtosouthalongthebordersbetweenYunnanandMyanmar.
