This document summarizes a collaborative action research study that used lesson study to develop inquiry-based teaching skills among pre-service teachers in Xavier University. The researchers implemented a lesson study cycle with pre-service teachers, which included collaboratively planning, observing, and refining a research lesson. Data was collected through observations, interviews, and recordings of the lessons and meetings. The results showed improvements in the pre-service teachers' questioning skills, communication skills, and ability to clearly present lessons using inquiry-based methods. The study demonstrated that lesson study is an effective way to develop inquiry-based teaching skills through collaborative professional development.
